Newton Health Care Center Is seeking Medical Records / Transportation Coordinator for our skilled nursing facility in Newton, IA!
As Medical Records / Transportation Coordinator you are responsible for maintaining the security, confidentiality completeness and accuracy of the medical records in accordance with the center's policies and procedures and under its guidelines in addition to loading, transporting, and unloading patients for medical appointments and activity outings in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations under the direction of the Nursing Director.
Shifts Available:
- Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Process medical information into the EMR system by scanning, batch scanning, quality checks, post scanning, and research.
- Assist with clerical support not limited to: filing, faxing, and organization.
- Maintaining manuals, logs and other required documentation as required
- Demonstrate and understanding for patient confidentiality to protect the patient and the clinic/corporation.
- Provide patients and their families with the utmost compassionate care in a professional manner.
- Aids escorting residents to and from physician appointments, dialysis, and any other transportation necessary.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Excellent computer skills required for the medical records clerk position
- Strong communication and customer service skills required.
- Clean driving record with valid driver’s license of this state
