What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Violence Advocate position at People's Place?
Full-time position at SAFE working with survivors of intimate partner violence and family violence in Kent and Sussex County. Position based in shelter. Duties include responding to hotline callers, safety planning, crisis support, coordinating hotel placements and delivery of resources to survivors in hotel; maintaining contact with survivors in hotel; transporting survivors; and assisting with other needs. Documentation; data collection and input into database are required. Candidate must be organized, have good communication skills and able to work both independently and effectively with SAFE team to meet needs of survivors. Domestic violence experience preferred; Relevant Associate’s degree required.
