Contract: FORSCOM Command Maintenance Evaluation and Training (COMET) Support
Title: Instructor
Job Location: Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA
Salary: Competitive, Depends on Qualifications
Clearance: Secret
Travel: Up to 30% CONUS; potential OCONUS
Purpose: Provide FORSCOM and subordinate units training and assistance to aid in meeting Army objectives for deployment, conduct logistics training, assess equipment readiness, and provide corrective solutions to systemic problems. Services shall include providing a planned and coordinated program, course, curriculum, subject or routine instruction in professional, technical, administrative, or other fields designed to improve individual and organization performance and assist in achieving the agency’s mission.
Responsibilities: Provide formal and informal instruction where improvements are needed to meet or exceed the Army’s standards in the assigned functional area. Assist units with improving their unit readiness, their ability to mobilize and support contingency operations, and properly reconstitute upon redeployment/demobilization. Develop, update, review, and deliver (instruct/present) required POI techniques, tactics, and procedures for all course material; Perform pre-course coordination and preparation of required information and materials for all training events; Develop and deliver required instruction in person and online IAW POIs; Provide written assessments of logistics training and student reviews/feedback supporting student capabilities; Generate and administer student course evaluations at the conclusion of each training iteration; Assist in the development and training of newly assigned Contractor, Active Duty and DoD Civ (GS) personnel, as well as any required refresher training; Assist in the review, revision, and development of POIs and curriculum; Perform and research technology assessments to stay current on capabilities in order to support the Government’s efforts to improve the quality and scope of training; Analyze course content and evaluate student performance and make recommendations concerning course improvement; Apply a practical understanding of the regulations, policies, field manuals, lesson outlines, courseware and POI utilized to conduct specified training; Use professional judgment in applying interpretations regarding functional areas of instruction; Perform as qualified SME for selected functional area(s).

Education and Certifications:
- High School Diploma or Higher
Knowledge and Experience:
- Possess five years’ experience sustaining and maintaining Army supplies and equipment.
- Knowledge of Army Maintenance Management System, Army Materiel Maintenance Policy, Supply Policy Below the National Level, Using Unit Supply, Physical Security and Environmental Programs.
- Proficiency with Global Combat Support System – Army (GCSS-ARMY), Decision Support Tool (DST) and Very Small Aperture Terminal (V-SAT).
- Knowledgeable in: Army Logistics Publications, Army Award for Maintenance Excellence, Army Oil Analysis Program, Army Warranty Program, Sample Data Collection Program, Army Modification Program, Army Maintenance Floats, Drivers Training, Product quality deficiency and/or improvement reports, Administrative storage of materiel, National Maintenance Program, Ground Safety Notification System, Army Corrosion Prevention and Control Program, Army Battery Program, Property Accountability, Financial Liability Investigation Property Loss, Inventory and inventory adjustments, Requesting and receiving supplies, Property responsibility, OCIE, Management of Class I, II, III, IIIP, IV, VIII, Hazardous Materiel, Stock Control, Excess management, Ammunition management, Food service equipment management, Medical equipment management and the CBRNE Program.
