A WESTERN NEW YORK MANUFACTURER REQUIRES A MECHANICAL ENGINEER WITH A MINIMUM OF 5 TO 8 YEARS OF MANUFACTURING EXPERIENCE . INDIVIDUALS WITH AN ELECTRICAL , MANUFACTURING OR PROJECT ENGINEERING BACKGROUND SHOULD ALSO LOOK AT THIS JOB. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS IN A FINANCIALLLY STABLE COMPANY WITH ROOM FOR GROWTH AND EXCELLENT CAREER PROSPECTS. COMPENSATION IS COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE AND FOR AN ENGINEER WITH THE RIGHT EXPERIENCE IT CAN EXCEED SIX FIGURES ($100,000 PER ANNUM). A BONUS IS ALSO AVAILABLE.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
General Job Description:
This role incorporates design, system integration, project installation, programming and/or the repair of mechanical systems.
Reports directly to the plant engineering manager and interacts with the senior management team.
Be assigned complex technical projects or business issues requiring advanced technical or industry knowledge.
Expected to work autonomously and be in charge of your own budget and timeline on projects.
Goals are generally communicated in solution or project goal terms,
Serve in a leadership capacity to maintenance department, floor supervisors, and production workers.
This role does not have any direct reports, rather pivots on one’s cross functional effectiveness.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage projects for successful and timely completion.
Execute new product development projects from concept, design, testing, and production.
Support production by designing and implementing productivity and quality improvements.
Gain swift understanding of a new machine or system in order to troubleshoot, repurpose and/or utilize.
Perform system integration (hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical controls).
Work in a dynamic environment and adjust to shifting priorities.
Work with team members to identify and design required fixtures for manufacturing, testing, and assembly.
Write detailed work instructions for machined components and assemblies.
Create detailed drawings and design tools/fixtures as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
5 to 8 years of mechanical, electrical, manufacturing or project engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
BS / MS in mechanical, electrical, manufacturing or project engineering or equivalent experience.
A second degree in Computer Science would be useful but is not a must have.
Proficiency in solid modeling (Inventor and MasterCam are a plus).
Excellent Mechanical aptitude and exceptional technical skills.
Experience programming (PLC is a plus).
Strong math, reasoning, creative and problem solving skills.
Experience in mold design or mold building is a plus.
A background in composite materials is a plus.
COMPENSATION:
Commensurate with experience and competitive.
Salary may exceed $100,000 per annum.
A bonus is available.
