What are the responsibilities and job description for the ASSEMBLY position at PeopleFirst Staffing?

Competencies

  • Basic Skills: Must be able to read and interpret drawings and customer specs, follow routers, use math, and basic handheld tools. Must read, write, and comprehend at a level necessary to perform essential function of position.
  • Cross Training: Must exhibit ability and knowledge to be cross trained on various production processes.
  • Communication: Must have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Must work harmoniously when communicating information and working with others.
  • Flexibility: Job duties and assignments may change without much notice. Respond or conform to changing situations without showing negative behavior.
  • Reliability: must meet production deadlines and attendance standards
  • Initiative: rectify a situation by taking corrective action rather than placing blame
  • Problem Solving: may be required to solve both minimal and/or complex problems

Physical Requirements

  • Team member is regularly required to stand, talk and hear to the degree that he/she can monitor machine sounds to identify problems.
  • Team member is required to stand for long periods of time; use hands and fingers to linger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Team member is occasionally required to sit and climb.
  • Team member must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Able to perform visual inspection on small defects and use measurement devices.
  • Team member regularly works near moving mechanical parts.
  • Team member is exposed to any number of elements but with none present to the extent of being highly disagreeable.

Additional Requirements

  • Works with direction from the front-line leader.
  • Subject to overtime requirements as approved by Management.
  • Meet Company standards in terms of production, quality, safety, and behavior standards.
