The pay rate for this job is $18 - $20 / hour DOE

Job Responsibilities :

• Assist carpenters in measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling wood or other construction materials according to specifications
• Prepare and set up tools, equipment, and materials needed for each task
• Carry out general labor duties such as lifting heavy materials, moving equipment, and cleaning the work area
• Operate power tools and equipment, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols
• Assist in installing and repairing structures, fixtures, and fittings, including doors, windows, cabinets, and trim
• Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and materials, ensuring they are in good working condition and readily available
• Follow blueprints, sketches, and instructions from the carpenter, ensuring accuracy and precision in measurements and cuts
• Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others
• Communicate effectively with the carpenter and other team members to coordinate tasks and ensure project timelines are met

Qualifications & Experience :

• Previous experience in a construction or carpentry-related role is preferred
• Must own your own tools and be able to bring them to the project
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools used in carpentry
• Familiarity with safety regulations and guidelines in the construction industry
• Strong work ethic and reliability, with the ability to show up on time and complete tasks as assigned
• Reliable transportation to and from job sites
• Physical ability to perform the essential duties of the job, including lifting heavy objects and working in confined spaces
• Ability to work effectively within a team and collaborate with others to achieve project goals
