Job Details for QA Technician:
- Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:00AM - 6:00PM for up to 90 Days of training; Shift will transition to 2nd shift hours.

Job Responsibilities QA Technician:
- Maintains daily QA presence on production floor by conducting inspections and quality checks as product moves through the manufacturing process. Will spend majority of shift on production floor.
- Collects and prepares samples (butter, granules, splits, etc.) for outside laboratory testing. Gathers samples for in-house testing and shelf-life purposes.
- Assists with monitoring production and sanitation employees to ensure proper procedures are being followed according to PPC QA requirements.
- Assists with inspection and monitoring of all incoming raw materials and outgoing finished products to ensure they meet PPC requirements.
- Completes various documentation required by USDA, FDA, FSMA, HACCP, the Policy and Procedure Manual, the Pest and Rodent Control Program, MSDS information, labeling and all other records as needed.
- Assists in issuing forms for sanitation, weight monitoring, lab testing, and other forms as necessary.
- Assists in monitoring and ordering supplies for the lab and supplies for employees including hair nets, beard nets, gloves, and hearing and eye protection as needed.
- Assists in monitoring and ordering sanitation supplies for the plant, including paper towels, hand soap, toilet tissue, and kitchen towels for office use, urinal blocks, degreaser and bleach as needed.
- Reports all QA issues promptly to Senior QA Technician.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements for QA Technician:
- High School Diploma or GED required. Completion of college level science course with lab preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Food Technology, Quality Assurance, and/or Quality Control preferred.
- HACCP training preferred
- Must be able to read and interpret basic written instructions and perform tasks and projects derived from written instructions. Understand, read, speak and write in English.
- Must be able to perform basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing, as well as an ability to use a calculator.
- Must be able to manage time and priorities effectively and efficiently, keep confidential information secure, and be able to work well alone, as well as in a team environment.
- Will occasionally need to lift/carry and push/pull up to 50 lbs.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
