Job Description:

A successful candidate will be passionate, self-motivated, proactive, quick-thinking, flexible, able to pivot when necessary, thorough and able to juggle multiple and diverse responsibilities with a strong emphasis on organization and an unwavering attention to detail at all times. This is a demanding and fast moving position that requires someone who is a proactive and positive thinker, and able to exercise good judgment, communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Repair/maintenance of office furniture
  • Troubleshoots, evaluates and makes recommendations 
  • Responds immediately to emergency situations and customer concerns
  • Possess competent knowledge of the use and care of tools/equipment 
  • Loading/unloading, moving materials, and running errands for projects
  • Inventory management and organization of materials
  • Occasional driving of rental vehicles
  • Ability to read floor plans, instructions and assemble furniture/workstations to spec
  • Move items within and between buildings
  • Conduct floor sweeps for unused or broken equipment and furniture
  • Excellent communication skills, email, and quick response time
  • Work orders requests management and distribution of duties, open update and close tickets
  • On call availability, flexible schedule for off hours/emergency support

 

Requirements:

  •  5 years in a maintenance/facilities role in a Corporate environment
  • Strong technical skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced, fluid environment
  • Attention to the little details that make an environment A quality
  • Driving rental trucks required on occasion
  • Understand project cost analysis
  • Proficient with Google Office Suite
  • Familiarity with a variety of furniture systems, FF&E, ergonomics & traditional Move, Adds, Changes (MAC)
  • Ability to problem-solve, influence partners, and manage multiple day to day projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive, team-oriented, hands-on, adaptive, and client-focused attitude
  • Comfortable collaborating with a diverse team, including architects, building engineers, property management, senior internal partners, project managers, and facility managers
