What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Transport Officer position at Peoria County?
Provide safe, secure transportation of juveniles to and from the Juvenile Detention Center. Incumbent may be paged on off days in extraordinary circumstances. Incumbent will encounter hostile juveniles and be subjected to verbal abuse.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent. Must have good interpersonal and communication skills. Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid Illinois driver’s license. Additionally, the individual needs to exercise independent judgment in that they will often be in remote locations while transporting juveniles. Maintain confidentiality of all information pertaining to the detainee. Must participate in training (as scheduled and available) in First Aid, CPR, Physical Restraint, Mechanical Rest
