What are the responsibilities and job description for the Executive Assistant for Regent Relations position at Pepperdine?
The Executive Assistant for Regent Relations serves as a member of the president’s team and works directly with and reports to the vice president and chief of staff. This position provides executive support to the board chair, board of regents, president, chief of staff, and board committee liaisons and manages all matters pertaining to the board of regents under the direction of the chief of staff who is the Board Liaison.
Duties
- Independently responsible for planning and preparing the annual board calendar, meeting schedules, detailed agendas and materials for board meetings and executive committee meetings based on the needs and priorities of the chief of staff, board chair, board of regents, and board committee liaisons.
- Responsible for accurate and timely communications to keep the board and committee liaisons informed and updated on board events, meeting content, assignments and directives, as well as current events happening across the University, acting with tact, diplomacy, and discretion on a variety of complex and sensitive issues.
- Develops materials for the annual election, committee appointments, president's assessment, disclosure forms, annual reports, metrics, tax letters, incentive compensation data, and a variety of other important topics and action items to ensure compliance with University Bylaws.
- Oversee all logistics related to hosting on-campus Board meetings, including hotel reservations, parking reservations, catering, room set-up, and necessary signage, among others.
- Attends board meetings to record, prepare, and archive corporate minutes.
- Manages and provides content for Onboard, the regent communication software.
- Works directly with the chief of staff to manage and organize the systems for recording and tracking the University Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and the President's Office OKRs.
- Work collaboratively with the chief of staff and senior vice president for strategic implementation to manage and organize systems for recording and tracking the University's 2030 Strategic Plan.
- Assist chief of staff with managing and implementing the vision of the president's office as needed.
- Performs other duties and assists with special projects as requested.
- Uphold University mission through work performed.

Skills and Qualifications
Required: Bachelor’s Degree. Five years of experience working in a support position at the executive level. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; management and organizational skills; exceptional communication skills; detail-oriented; highly confidential and professional; strong technology skills. Google Suite, Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft, Gmail, Hyperion.
Preferred: Strong knowledge of University operations and assets, Master’s degree, board management experience, exceptional technological skills, strong writer, extremely organized. Ability to adapt and learn new technology.

Expected Pay Range: $70,000.00 - $80,0000.00 per year
The above pay range reflects what Pepperdine University reasonably expects to pay for this position at time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on relevant factors such as work experience, market conditions, education/training, and skill level. In addition to base pay, Pepperdine offers a robust and highly competitive benefits package.
