What PepsiCo Data Management and Operations does:
- Maintain a predictable, transparent, global operating rhythm that ensures always-on access to high-quality data for stakeholders across the company
- Responsible for day-to-day data collection, transportation, maintenance/curation and access to the PepsiCo corporate data asset
- Work cross-functionally across the enterprise to centralize data and standardize it for use by business, data science or other stakeholders
- Increase awareness about available data and democratize access to it across the company.
- Program manage across a multiple, cross-functional programs from initial conception, through design and development, to delivery of tested, useable prototypes
- Work across cross-functional partners (engineering, business, and design) to identify scope, constraints, dependencies, risks, and timelines across programs
- Proactively identify technical, procedural, legal, logistical, and communications challenges and partner with leads to drive creative solutions to resolve issues and mitigate risks
- Coordinate communications across internal and external teams, including upwards communication to team leadership
- Frequent communication with senior leadership to shape and deliver on the product roadmap, and requires to nimbly switch between strategic and tactical initiatives to achieve technical, and business goals
- Experience with Agile, OO modeling, web services, middleware, database and data mining systems
- Facilitates daily stand-up, iteration planning, sprint review, and iteration retrospective
- Guides team in time estimating practices and facilitates team estimates engineering development projects and facilitates sprint releases
- Drive team iteration execution, communicates with management and stakeholders, protects
- the team from the uncontrolled injection of work (changes are evaluated/intentional)
- Manage project conflicts, challenges and dynamic business requirements to keep operations
- running at a high performance
- Lead the scrum team in using Agile methodology and scrum practices
- Helping the product owner and development team to achieve customer satisfaction
- Lead the scrum and development teams in self-organization
- Remove impediments and coach the scrum team on removing impediments
- Help the scrum and development teams to identify and fill in blanks in the Agile framework
- Resolve conflicts and issues that occur
- Help the scrum team achieve higher levels of scrum maturity
- Support the product owner and provide education where needed
- 6-8 years of strong technical program management experience in agile environment
- The ideal technical program manager (TPM) will be highly quantitative, have great judgment and passion for the business, be inventive, and have a strong track record of delivery.
- The TPM will have a pragmatic approach and iterative approach to building software including ability to simplify and get things done with a demonstrated track record of building and delivering software and working effectively with external and internal teams.
- The TPM will dive deep to understand including the infrastructure, dataset dependencies for ML models, local requirements for feature/application deployments, integration testing requirements before deployment
- Exceptional business relationship skills including the ability to discover the true requirements underlying feature requests, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutions.
- A good understanding of SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle) models and a track record of shipping software efficiently. You recognize the difference between building software and shipping software.
- A strong track record of project delivery for large, cross-functional, projects
- Deep hands-on technical expertise, excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Sharp analytical abilities and proven design skills
- Prior experience on a scrum team for design and implementation of applications
- Ability to analyze and think quickly and to resolve conflict
- Knowledgeable in techniques to fill in gaps in the scrum
- Ability to determine what is scrum and what is not
- Experience with successful Agile techniques
- Ability to work with and lead a team
- Strong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment
- Self-motivation and ability to stay focused in the middle of distraction
- Demonstrable experience of asset and knowledge discovery supporting the creation of knowledge articles.
- Demonstrable experience of supporting data migration within the agile lifecycle.
- Demonstrable experience in working with product owners to identify, deliver and prioritize activities required to build the product backlog.
- Demonstrable experience of working with varied scrum teams at a mix of virtual and physical locations to deliver against the scrum sprints.
- Demonstrable experience of hosting and planning regular stand-ups as well as sprint planning.
- Demonstrable experience of running and presenting retrospectives both physically and remotely.
- Significant experience in complex solutions for large organizations or private corporations using a diverse engineering and technology team
- Highly influential and having the ability to educate challenging stakeholders on the role of data and its purpose in the business.
- Understands both the engineering and business side of the Data Products released.
- Places the user in the center of decision-making.
- Teams up and collaborate for speed, agility, and innovation.
- Experience with and embracing agile methodologies.
- Strong negotiation and decision-making skills.
- Experience managing and working with globally distributed teams.
