Project Engineer
Responsibilities
- Strong Technical capability and competence in mechanical, electrical and control systems
- Experienced in leading and executing engineering projects and facility infrastructure designs.
- Responsible to lead Early management Pillar and work with cross functional team to utilize EM workbook.
- Assist corporate engineering to develop capital projects for best interest of the plant.
- Develop and execute sustainability projects across the facility. Responsible to meet or exceed utility intensity AOP goals.
- Familiar with compressor, boiler and natural gas systems and processes
- Support business unit to execute innovation and productivity projects.
- Responsible for people and team development, quality performance, cost, service and safety
- Develop individuals and the team to solve mechanical and electrical issues.
- Familiar with contractor management systems
- Motivate the team to achieve performance targets.
- Organize and facilitate team meetings to achieve continuous improvement process.
- Coach team members to use the process and facilitate problem solving on the floor.
- Develop team to solve day-to-day issues and reach short- & long-term performance goals
- Communicate cross-functionally to assist team to solve operational issues.
- Motivate team members to achieve plan goals.
- Administer policies and practices Initiate and implement projects.
- Conduct presentations and formal training programs.
- Improve team communication and engagement.
- Think quickly, creatively and challenge team to do the same.
- Responsible for working safely as defined in the Safety Accountability Matrix. Also responsible for completing safety work orders within defined time frame and reporting the results to the safety team.
- Supports efforts to ensure business is conducted in a safe environmentally responsible manner.
- Flexible to work in different shifts.
Relocation Eligibility: Not Eligible for Relocation
Travel Requirements: Less than 10%
Qualifications
- Degree preferably in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or related major.
- Demonstrated leadership ability.
- Highly motivated self-starter
- Project management skills
- Ability to work in an unstructured environment with the ability to make trade off decisions quickly.
- Ability to give/receive constructive feedback.
- Ability to lead a team-based approach to decision making Demonstrated ability to work in a result oriented, challenging environment.
- Effective coaching, facilitation, presentation, and team building skills.
- Authorize to work in United States on a permanent basis.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Willingness to work off shifts, weekends, & holidays
- Must pass a drug screen and background investigation.
