What are the responsibilities and job description for the Solution Engineer - PBNA IT position at PepsiCo?
This is a Solution Engineer role for the PBNA Enabling Functions – Financials portfolio.
As a Dev/Sec/Ops (DSO) Solution Engineer on the Financials portfolio team supporting the PBNA Finance business, you will have the opportunity to help advance the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the financials solutions.
This role will facilitate and lead Dev/Sec/Ops (DSO) processes and activities within the portfolio while also ensuring business capability and value is optimized through identification and implementation of continuous improvement solutions.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate support activities among integrated teams (e.g. vendors, internal IT teams, S/4 SAP) to troubleshoot and resolve Production incidents, as well as for project implementations
- Manage Level 1-3 support, as applicable, including, triage, root cause analysis, remediation, and post-mortem analysis
- Lead all DSO activities for the solutions developed internally for specific applications in the portfolio
- Update/Enhance support model as new solutions are implemented
- Perform Subject Matter Expert (SME) duties in regards to facilitation of on/off-shore Managed Services team – including deep-level knowledge sharing and driving compliance with contracted SLA's and metrics
- Responsible for overall project planning, issue & risk analysis, resource planning and management, vendor management and status reporting for specific-owned projects
- Develop deep knowledge of the business, and relationships with business partners, in support of building solutions that deliver improved business impact
- Act as technology advisor to the business
- Contribute to the development of technology enablement business capability roadmaps
- Partner with business and IT leaders to evaluate proposals, build business cases, and plan new joint initiatives, and determine how they fit into business capability roadmaps and priorities
- Ensure that essential business requirements are understood and captured
- Keep abreast of both internal technologies and solutions as may pertain to future opportunities in portfolio
- Ensure continuous improvement in value optimization, IT performance, and business processes where applicable
- Proactively identify business capability and IT service gaps and contribute to improvement efforts
- Partner with IT Product Leads across the enterprise to create and execute transition/migration plans in support of the broader IT agenda (i.e. S/4 SAP, Cloud Platforming)
Qualifications
Years of Experience
- 10 years IT Project Management
- 7 years Financial applications support
Technical Skills
- Experience managing Software development projects through the full project lifecycle, from initiation through implementation
- Experience supporting SW applications after implementation, including : break/fix activities, enhancements, SLA’s and metrics, vendor management
- Experience with Oracle/Sybase/SQLServer databases, ETL, Unix scripting
- Proficient in Azure DevOps (ADO) tools/platform

Compensation and Benefits
- The expected compensation range for this position is between $98,700 - $165,150
- Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary
- Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 12% of annual salary paid out Annually.
- Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement
