Responsibilities
This Research Scientist position brings together diverse fields of computer science including cross-domain systems, program analysis, cloud computing, high-performance computing, compilers, formal verification, and general software engineering to solve mission critical problems. You will communicate and collaborate with a team of leading researchers in each of these areas to develop novel solutions to complex problems.
Qualifications
BS 2-4 Years, MS 0-2 or HS 8-10
Skills and Experience You Should Possess:• Programming in Python and C • Software engineering, DevOps, CI/CD• Contributions to open-source software• Coursework in Algorithms, Distributed Systems, Networking, Operating Systems, Programming Languages TheoryAdditional Desired Skill (3 or more preferred):• Program Analysis and LLVM• Open-source cloud computing technologies, e.g., Openstack, Tungsten Fabric• Model-Based Software Engineering tools development• Heterogeneous computing using DPC /OneAPI• Compiler design and implementation• Cross-domain systems, DFDL, and XSLT• Embedded systems and Linux device driver development• DevSecOps• Intel SGX and remote attestation
• Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Natural Language Processing

Salary Range
Salary Minimum: $40,000 Salary Mid: $80,000 Salary Maximum: $100,000 The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Peraton provides a variety of benefits to employees.
