Responsibilities
Pearton is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer II to augment the existing Foundations team. The Cloud Software Engineer II will work with a massively parallel enterprise platform, built with Java on Free and Open Source Software products including Kubernetes, Hadoop and Accumulo, to enable execution of data-intensive analytics on a managed infrastructure.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience doing Linux administration on large Hadoop and Accumulo based clusters
- Possess skills of Linux, Python/Bash, Configuration Management Software (Salt, Puppet or Ansible) and have some experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.
- Fourteen (14) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required

Target Salary Range
$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.EEO
