Responsibilities
Peraton is currently seeing to hire an experienced Cyber Training Support Lead for its' Federal Security Cyber sector located in Arlington, VA.
* Location: Remote position, but you must reside within 50 miles of the NCR and be able to come on-site as needed.
Program role:
- The training and exercises program manages the functional areas of preparedness, planning, coordination, conduct, and evaluation for training and exercises, along with analyses and assessments focused on building preparedness and readiness and creating defensible and repeatable standards for measuring operational readiness for CISA.
- Establishes procedures to produce a continuous, integrated assessments of CISA’s preparedness through each phase of the training and exercise development cycle.
- Ensures CISA regions, divisions and offices conducting training and exercises have appropriate guidance and tools to consistently analyze how their activities support CISA’s continuous improvement endeavors to revise plans, build and sustain capabilities, support professional development, maintain preparedness, and an optimized and empowered workforce.
- Establishes the means for developing and continuous improvement of personnel skills and core competencies to better meet the needs of CISA missions by common, continuous training and cross training coupled with rotational assignments, recognition programs, transparency, and diversity.
In this role, you will:
- Write, edit, and publish doctrine, policy directives, exercise, and training plans reflected in exercise plans, and lead/publish exercise AARs.
- Apply knowledge of effective writing principles and practices executing day-to-day functional activities applying IOD processes, procedures, work instructions, and checklists, to develop and refine the IOD Suite of Training and Exercise Plans in accordance with the CISA style guide and the CISA/SPP Policy and Governance Frameworks.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- BS 5-7 Years, MS 3-5, PhD 0-2
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years’ experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- Understanding of the various types of cyber threats, attack vectors and the consequences of cyber-attacks.
- Demonstrated ability to schedule, announce, plan, coordinate and execute large-scale, dynamic planning conferences, work group meetings, interim progress reviews, teleconferences and both secure and unclassified video-teleconferences.
- Demonstrated leadership experience.
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.
- In addition, selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a favorably adjudicated DHS background investigation (EOD) for continued employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree and a minimum of 10 years’ experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

Salary Range
Salary Minimum: $57,500 Salary Mid: $115,000 Salary Maximum: $143,800 The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Peraton provides a variety of benefits to employees.
