Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Digital Media Manager (Social Media) to work on-site at Camp Smith, HI. This experienced Digital Media Manager will be responsible for the following:
The Social Media Manager is responsible for developing comprehensive social media campaigns aligned to the organizational communication strategy ensuring resilient, reliable information and communication engagement and ensure compliance with DoD and USMC policy regarding public facing web platforms and in accordance with Associated Press style guide, as appropriate.
- Develop comprehensive social media campaigns aligned to an organizational communication strategy (MARFORPAC Communication Strategy). Ensure compliance with DoD and USMC policy regarding public facing web platforms and in accordance with Associated Press style guide, as appropriate.
- Apply industry best practices and trends regarding social media platform and website development/design, management, security technologies and protocols, as well as the applicable technologies to create dynamic website features.
- Utilize social media applications and technologies, to include Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc.
- Research, draft, and manage daily social media posts across major platforms (Facebook, X (Twitter), and Instagram).
- Facilitate regular engagement with followers in accordance with governmental policy concerning social media management.
- Conduct daily updates and management of the official MARFORPAC command website through the American Forces Public Information Management System
- Perform regular evaluation and improvement on internal processes and procedures relating to MARFORPAC public facing platforms.
- Compile and analyze platform analytics into comprehensive assessment reports. Leverage statistical and analytical tools to suggest improvements designed to expand engagement and followership.
- Utilize key analytics and metrics pertaining to social media platforms and websites to expand reach and effectiveness.
- Research, develop, and recommend courses of action for improvement based on assessment results.
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D. HS 16 years Background in communication, public affairs/relations, marketing, data analytics and/or international affairs.
- Must have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and have knowledge of public affairs protocols.
- Must have extensive experience working with the Department of Defense, INDOPACOM, and the USMC
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively collaborate and contribute to a team are required.
- Knowledge of the U.S. military structure, culture, and language.
- Ability to develop and present information in technical exchange meetings.
- Must be able to develop and brief technically complex information to senior military and civilian leadership.
- Must have DoD Secret Clearance.

Target Salary Range
$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
