Peraton has a current need for a Linux Security Administrator to support our Enterprise Application customer within the Department of Treasury.
What you will do:
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and work effectively with employees, subcontractors, and the Treasury staff in a diverse team environment
- Will collaborate with customers and stakeholders
- Will provide scheduled and ad hoc evening and weekend support
- Conduct any necessary testing and validation requirements
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years’ experience. Additional years of experience may be accepted in lieu of the degree
- Linux Administration and Shell Scripting experience
- Windows Administration and Shell Scripting
- Testing and validation requirements experience
- DNS Administration experience
- Understanding of Computer Networking Technologies
- Experience with Windows and Linux Vulnerability Scans and Remediations
- Understanding of Security Information and Event Management tools (e.g., Splunk)
- Understanding of Cloud Technical Architecture and Administration
- Ability to independently organize work, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple and changing priorities
- Ability to work as a member of a team or independently as requested
- Must possess strong communication skills in order to collaborate affectively with customers and stakeholders
- Must be available to provide scheduled and ad hoc evening and weekend support
- Must be able to obtain a Position of Trust designation security clearance
- Must be a US Citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
- Nessus Administration
- Splunk Administration
- WebInspect Administration
- DBProtect Administration
- Understanding of FISMA, FIPS, NIST, and FedRAMP
- Oracle Cloud Administration
- A Recognized Security Industry Certification
- Experience working in a Federal environment
- Experience working within an agile framework

Salary Range
Salary Minimum: $57,500 Salary Mid: $115,000 Salary Maximum: $143,800 The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Peraton provides a variety of benefits to employees.
