Responsibilities
Peraton is hiring an Operations Data Support Systems Engineer to join our Cyber Mission business unit in FT Meade, MD. As a System Engineer on our team, you will support one of the largest enterprise-wide engineering contracts within the Intelligence Community. This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year; and work is performed at a customer location. As an Operations Data Support Systems Engineer on our team, you will provide systems engineering support to the SODO and will assist in executing Data Governance, Data Extension & Reduction Requests (DERP), Data Characterization and Tagging Support, Data Management Requests (DMRs), Historical Data Migration (HDM), and Corporate Warehouse governance and support activities within the office. Responsibilities include supporting the following:
- Operational Data Governance support - Assist in the coordination, development and documentation of Data governance processes and procedures. Assist with identification of metrics to assist with data governance decisions.
- DERP, Data Characterization and Tagging Support, and DMRs - Assist with the Review, Coordination, Validation and Tracking of new data tags, DERP requests, and DMR status.
- HDM activities support - assist with overseeing mission requirements for Transition and Decommissioning Systems and datasets.
- Corporate Warehouse governance and support - Coordinate and track operational efficiencies. Create and maintain schedules of needed actions and recommended courses of action.
Qualifications
Individual Capabilities/Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or other related discipline plus at least 10 years of systems engineering experience. A Master's degree or PhD may be substituted for two years of experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 14 years of systems engineering experience would also be acceptable.
- Strong experience in integrations with corporate repositories
- Defining, developing, and documenting operational support concepts leading to development and implementation of requirements, specifications, and design plans.
- Planning and tracking requirements management, QA, risk management, and status reporting.
- Performing functional analysis including decomposition of requirements to low-level functions, allocation of performance and other limiting requirements to all functional levels
- Ability to facilitate multiple sync engagements with partner organizations per month
- Position requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
Individual Capabilities/Experience Desired:
- Experience with IC industry and customer, including mission domain experience in T&D lifecycle support.
- Experience in Transitioning and decommissioning system lifecycle to include historic data migration (HDM).

Salary Range
Salary Minimum: $72,500 Salary Mid: $145,000 Salary Maximum: $181,300 The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Peraton provides a variety of benefits to employees.
