Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Procurement Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will become part of Peraton’s Department of State (DoS) Diplomatic Security Cyber Mission (DSCM) program providing leading cyber and technology security experience to enable innovative, effective and secure business processes. Peraton’s DSCM program encompasses technical, engineering, data analytics, cyber security, management, operational, logistical and administrative support to aid and advise DoS Cyber Security Operations to include protecting a global cyber infrastructure comprising networks, systems, information, and mobile devices all while identifying and responding to cyber risks and threats. Those supporting Peraton’s DSCM program strive to leverage their expert knowledge and propose creative solutions to real-world cybersecurity challenges.
This position requires an active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility. This position is located in Rosslyn, VA.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as informational liaison between AQM and Office staff; assist Office Staff in support of Procurement requirements and activities.
- Coordinate and execute acquisition/contracting related policy, procedure, instruction and associated guidance.
- Meet with teammates who submit a purchase request to understand and articulate the scope and business case for each request
- Review scope, requirements, justification and make recommendations to meet acceptance standards of DS and Department approvers
- Track and monitor new procurement requests and renewals to ensure continuity of services
- Shepard the signature process for approved procurement requests
- Research and draft acquisition metric reports as requested by Procurement Government Team Lead
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- A Bachelor of Science degree and 3 years of experience is required. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, 4 years of additional experience may be substituted
- Active Top Secret security clearance is required with the ability to obtain SCI
- Familiarity with having sourced/purchased machinery, equipment, tools, raw material, packaging materials, parts, services, and/or supplies necessary for operation of an organization
- Working knowledge on compiling and analyzing statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives
- Ability to confer with suppliers and analyzes suppliers operations to determine factors that affected prices and determined lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules. Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, follows up orders placed, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records
Preferred Qualifications - Candidates with these preferred skills will be given preferential consideration:
- Experience supporting the Department of State cyber security mission
- Industry standard DoD8570 baseline certification
