What you'll do:
The Information Technology Project Manager located on site at Camp Zama, Japan will plan, schedule, manage budget, implement, and manage information technology (IT) infrastructure and software projects, and will serve as a liaison between the operational management and execution that includes participation and technical oversight of activities across multiple TDLs (Technical Projects).
Duties / Responsibilities: The position will include, but is not limited to, the following tasks:
• Manage assigned IT projects to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, scope of project and providing deliverables.
• Develop, maintain, and when necessary, revise proposals for assigned projects including project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, timelines, funding, resources, and staffing.
• Set and track project milestones; manage and accounts for unforeseen delays, then realigns schedules and expectations as needed.
• Establish and implement project communication plans, providing status updates to affected staff and stakeholders.
• Collect, analyze, and summarize information and trends as needed to prepare project status reports.
• Complete projects by coordinating resources and timetables to meet customer requirements.
• Manage technical network solutions and frameworks.
• Oversee network planning, modeling, and analysis
• Skilled in risk management.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
This role provides expert level support and oversight of multiple network-related projects across the ESIM portfolio. There are occasional support requirements for non-standard support hours that are event driven.
BS 10-12, MS 8-10, Phd 5-7
Required Qualifications:
On first day must possess current IAM Level II Certification – one or more of the following current certifications in ACTIVE status are acceptable.
• CAP
• CASP CE
• CISM
• CISSP
• GSLC
• CCISO
• HCISPP
• Must possess active Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
• Minimum of (8) eight years’ experience managing IT hardware (voice, video, data), software, network, and new technology upgrades within the DoD environment.
• Thorough understanding of project management principles and planning.
• Strong knowledge of strategic network management across an entire theater or region.
• Minimum of (8) eight years’ experience managing teams of network engineers.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and experience addressing senior executive leaders.
• Organized with attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Thorough understanding of information technology procedures and practices.
• Proficient with, or able to quickly become proficient with, a range of general and specialized applications, software, and hardware used in the organization and the industry.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, related Project Management tools, and dashboards.
• Ability to motivate groups of people to complete a project in a timely manner.
• Experience working in a federal environment.
• Experience producing integrated MS Project Schedules (linking operational execution with logistical resources to manage critical paths).
• Stakeholder management.
• Due to a customer requirement, as a condition of employment for this position, the successful candidate will be required to obtain and provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination prior to commencing employment.
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
It is desirable that the candidate has the following qualifications:
• Familiar with VDI topology and / or CSfC network solutions.
• MBA preferred. Business administration, management, leadership, and related fields.
• PMO experience preferred.

Colorado Salary Maximum: $204,400
The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Peraton provides a variety of benefits to employees.
