What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scrum Master III position at Peraton?
Peraton is seeking a Scrum Master to join our team in Landover, MD.
What you'll do:
- Leads the development effort by conveying the vision to an Agile or Scrum delivery team, outlining and prioritizing work based on business value.
- Liaises with stakeholders ensuring their interests are included in the release, and the team to ensure the release is developed by the deadline and within budget.
- Responsible for the business aspects of the project, including ensuring the right product is being built, in the right order, within budget and by the deadline.
- Serves as the Agile or Scrum delivery team's primary contact for information, work prioritizing, and decision-making.
- Coordinate and monitor the Scrum process from initiation through delivery.
- Serve as liaisons between the product owner, development team, and management in order to ensure that all targets and requirements are met.
- Ensure that team members understand project objectives.
- Maintain product backlog and release plan and facilitate productivity by setting up meetings and removing impediments that may obstruct the pursuit of the team's sprint goals.
- Preserve flexibility and ability to rapidly respond to changes.
- Facilitates an agile development team.
- Develop and manage Agile Scrum Artifacts and Reports.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience/Education: BS Degree with 5-7 years of experience, or a MS Degree with 3-5 years, or a PhD with 0-2 years. Will consider additional experience in lieu of a degree.
- Prior experience on a scrum team.
- Experience managing information technology development projects.
- Demonstrated experience and in-depth understanding of Project Management practices.
- Proven ability to use MS Project to manage projects.
- Demonstrated experience in agile development and production environment.
- Must have a current DoD 8570.1-M IAT Level II certification (i.e., Security CE).
- Must possess an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP, Scrum Master, and/or Agile certification desired.
- ITIL Foundations certification desired.

Salary Minimum: $57,500
Salary Mid: $115,000
Salary Maximum: $143,800
The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees.
