Senior SQL Database Developer

Responsibilities

 

Position Requires Candidate to be located in the Colorado Springs,CO area.  NO remote telecommuting allowed, however, occasional telework is allowed.  In office rotation is required about 4x per month.

 

Seeking a Senior SQL Database Developer/Architect to join our team supporting a large scale national security credentialing system in a complex, dynamic environment.  The candidate will design strategies for enterprise database systems and set standards for operations, programming, and security.  

 

Responsibilities:

• Design and construct large relational databases
• Integrate new systems with existing warehouse structure
• Refine system performance and functionality

 

Serve as the Application DBA responsible for:

• Developing SQL reporting queries
• Troubleshooting database issues
• Database performance tuning
• SQL statement tuning
• Reviewing and Implementing Database design changes
• Coding (procedures, functions, packages, triggers, etc.).
• May serve as technical lead for junior team members

Qualifications

Education and Security Clearance Requirements:

• United States Citizenship required (no dual citizenship)
• DoD SECRET clearance required (can begin work with interim status)
• 7-10 years of related experience
• Bachelor’s degree or Associates degree with 2 years of additional experience
• Minimum one (1) years of experience on complex technical projects, including work on highly available, national security systems.

 

Minimum skills and qualifications:

Experience in the following:

• 3 years or more experience in writing and tuning SQL queries
• 3 years or more experience designing and implementing database structures
• 3 years or more of SQL coding / scripting experience
• Able to work flexible schedule/weekends if needed
• Experience with SQL (Structured Query Language)

 

Preferred skills and qualifications:

• Experience in a large scale Federal IT Program
• Experience working with SAFe Agile delivery framework
• 1 year Experience in Oracle Database Administration
