Software Java Developer - Junior

Responsibilities

Peraton is current looking for Junior Software Java Developer to support the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC) Account.  

This position has to be within a commutable distance from client site in Seaside Ca.   Must be U.S. Citizen,  hold an active/.curent DOD Public Trust or be able to obtain.   Must have/obtain CompTIA Security certification within first 90 days

Must be within a commutable distance from Seaside/Monterey California

This person will:

• Develop, document, test and debug applications software and systems that contain basic business and technical solutions
• Determine computer user needs: requirements analysis
• Analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls
• Ensure software/code standards and Cyber security requirements are met
• Initiate corrective action/solutions to stay on project schedule
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience
• Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects, deadlines and responsibilities

Qualifications

• BS 0-2 Years or HS 6-8
• Currently hold a Public Trust clearance or be able to obtain prior to start
• Current/Active CompTIA Security be able to obtain in first 90 days
• Experienced with frequent use and application of technical standards, principles and theories
• Works under general supervision, providing solutions to technical problems of moderate scope/complexity
• Solid understanding of and experience with Core Java/J2EE and Spring Framework
• Understanding of Angular and/or other JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience with web services
• Understanding of Object Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and practices

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with WebLogic/JBOSS
• Experience with web services (SOAP and/or REST)
• Experience with myBATIS, Maven, ANT
• Experience with databases (MySQL, NoSQL,Oracle...)
• Experience with Angular and/or other JavaScript frameworks
• Experience in Agile/Scrum
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience
• Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects, deadlines and responsibilities
• Ability to distill complex problems through the application of design patterns
• Experience with Department of Defense (DoD) policy or procedures

Colorado Salary Minimum: $43,400 Colorado Salary Maximum: $105,300 The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees.
