Responsibilities
The Special Assistant will become part of Peraton’s Department of State (DoS) Diplomatic Security Cyber Mission (DSCM) program providing leading cyber and technology security experience to enable innovative, effective and secure business processes. Peraton’s DSCM program encompasses technical, engineering, data analytics, cyber security, management, operational, logistical and administrative support to aid and advise DoS Cyber & Technology Security (CTS) Directorate. This includes protecting a global cyber infrastructure comprising networks, systems, information, and mobile devices all while identifying and responding to cyber risks and threats. Those supporting Peraton’s DSCM program strive to leverage their expert knowledge and propose creative solutions to real-world cybersecurity challenges.
The Special Assistant - CTI role will be based in Rosslyn, VA and supports the Cyber Threat and Investigations (CTI) office.
Position Duties:
- Attend and support business consulting needs to the office leadership by providing recommendations, meeting conduct, risk and action management, and problem resolution.
- Prepare, review and edit technical correspondence and presentations for internal/external meetings.
- Assist in the production and publication of Reports Manuals, Technical procedure and other supporting Cyber Security related documentation.
- Assist and support administrative managers and directors in their daily tasks.
- Provide and enable reporting needs for office leadership to stakeholders outside of the organization including presentations and event management.
- Provide a bridge for complex cyber issues at all levels of the Department using superlative verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Coordinate and prepare products (taskers, cables, official memoranda, etc. from internal and external organizations).
- Gather data and information from Offices, review data for accuracy and relevancy, compile information, ensure product quality (substance, format and grammar), and shepherd the product through approval processes.
- Research, coordinate, and develop materials for special projects (unique, unforeseen, ad hoc, and urgent).
- Engage at the executive level with Department leaders to achieve project objectives
- Communicate Front Office task direction to the Office level programs and coordinate final Directorate level deliverables.

Qualifications
Required qualifications:
Basic Qualifications- To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience required. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- Active Secret security clearance is required.
- Possess CCNA, CEH, CySA , CISSP, Security CE, or GSEC certification.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity and/or information technology (IT) security
- Efficient in developing requirements, workflow and systems analysis.
- Familiar with preparing complex operating instructions.
- Experience reviewing and editing technical correspondence and presentations for internal/external meetings.
- Experience engaging with executive level leadership.

Target Salary Range
