The Chief Engineer is responsible for design, development, and integration to support the LTRS systems and subsystems. The Chief Engineer conducts basic and applied research to evaluate adaptability of materials and equipment to the LTRS design and manufacture. The Chief Engineer recommends improvements in testing equipment and techniques.
BS 16-18, MS 14 , Phd 10
Required qualifications include:
- A minimum of ten years of experience in design, development, integration, and implementation of systems for cyber, space, and range launch operations systems and subsystems based on system-level requirements.
- Experience with Agile scrum methodologies.
- Experience with DoD cybersecurity requirements.
Desired qualifications include one or more of the following:
- Experience hosting cloud-based and hybrid cloud/on-premises network solutions (e.g., Amazon Web Services (AWS), MS Azure, Google Cloud platform, IBM cloud).
- Experience designing and developing cloud-native scalability and distributed applications that leverage micro-service architecture.
- A minimum of ten years of experience leading systems-level analysis, requirements generation, and modeling and simulation.
- A minimum of ten years of experience working on DoD, space systems/AF, and/or joint programs.
- A minimum of ten years of experience integrating computer hardware/software development and software system engineering.
Requires Top Secret (TS) clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI).
May be required to submit to future counterintelligence polygraph(s).
