Central to our growth ambitions is the ability to rapidly scale elements of trade compliance related to our products and brands. We are looking for an ambitious person to classify and establish and monitor regulatory requirements for the United States, Europe and Canada. This person will focus on products regulated by the Food and Drug Administration including medical devices (I and II), food products and personal hygiene products.

Responsibilities

Partnering closely with acquisitions and operations teams, the Trade Compliance Analyst will play a key role in the compliance of existing products and onboarding of new products and brands. This role will assign HTS classification with guidance and support of the Trade Compliance Manager. They will work to develop tools to assure timely updates and communications to trade requirements.

Responsibilities to include:

  • Execute trade compliance procedures and policies across the company; provide support to cross functional organizations.
  • Classification and maintenance of HTS codes for all products. Monitor updates to the tariff system for timely implementation and notice of impact (cost/requirements).
  • Work with screening tools and processes to assure due diligence and define PGA (Partner Government Agency) indicators on products. PGAs include the FDA, FCC, APHIS and CPSC.
  • Work with company utilities to assure accuracy of trade compliance data elements.
  • Perform broker audits and assure recordkeeping requirements are in accordance with US import regulations.
  • Familiarity with international transportation documentation requirements.
  • Experience with US import regulations and the export administration regulations (EAR) a must; knowledge of consumer products regulations a plus.

The ideal candidate will be detailed oriented and have a willingness to deep dive into trade requirements. This role will also be essential to the reasonable care of Perch's trade compliance program.
