Job Posting for Market Access Key Account Manager - Mid-Atlantic at Peregrine Market Access
Peregrine Market Access is seeking 6 Key Account Managers to support their Contract Sales Organization. The ideal candidate(s) for this remote position will live in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, Great Lakes, West, or Southwest regions.
The Key Account Manager (KAM) will be responsible for the development of the reimbursement strategy for assigned accounts which will maximize patient access to products. The individual will work to maintain patient access and find new potential market access points. This role is critical in the implementation of the market access strategy for each of their assigned accounts.
Responsibilities: (Duties may include, but not limited to all or some of the following)
Lead contract strategy, contract compliance, development, analysis, execution and ongoing tracking and management of contracts for assigned accounts.
Personally, operate in full compliance of company policies and corporate governance.
Experience and successful track record with the top National and Regional Payer Accounts
Established current relationships with key formulary decision makers at some of these targeted National and Regional Accounts
Proven credibility in gaining access to key decision makers and influencers
Monitor managed market trends and market dynamics and apply them to assigned accounts and understand likely impact going forward
Work collaboratively with sales, marketing, trade and medical affairs to develop the payer marketing strategy for each account based on market research and market dynamics
Communicate effectively with the commercial team on managed market trends and how their accounts are impacting the local HCPs in their respective geographies
Manage day to day Managed Markets activities, expenses and customer engagements for assigned accounts
Obtain marketing intelligence relative to the Client portfolio for each of their assigned accounts
Ability to attend Payer specific Congresses to meet with assigned accounts
Develop account specific Business Plans for each of his/her assigned accounts to include account specific objectives, plans, strategies, and tactics and annual engagement plan
Customer contracts – review and ensure that all terms and conditions are within Company guidelines and are fair and reasonable before presenting them to internal management to review
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA preferred
Previous experience as a National Account Manager, Key Account Manager, or Regional Account Manager
Previous experience and proven success in biotech / pharmaceutical industry
Previous experience in reimbursement, contract strategy, managed care sales / marketing or related field
Field sales and or field sales management experience preferred
Successful experience launching products and successfully executing launch strategies and tactical plans preferred
Strong financial background and analytical skills
Marketing or Payer Marketing for a pharmaceutical company a plus
Experience as a managed care pharmacist at a national or regional payer a plus
Demonstrated experience with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
