Job Description
I have a full time opportunity for one of our top tier Private Equity clients in Midtown Manhattan. This role will be responsible to provide strategic client data oversight for global client coverage organizations and is leading the charge for development and realization of a multi-year roadmap to deliver on the client data value chain, including data architecture, governance, acquisition, quality management processes, business intelligence, and advanced analytics.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively interact with various business teams to understand the business needs, gather requirements, and liaise within the firm to define the components of client data platform.
- Lead the design of client centric data architecture and execution of integrating data across multiple sources and formats for client 360 view.
- Own evaluation of new data sources, acquisition of that data, and delivery of that data through the client data platform.
- Work in close partnership with the rest of IT Business Units to ensure that project's outcome meets business needs and are additive to the overall platform.
- Ensure that the business platform architecture aligns with enterprise data management standards.
- Provide thought leadership in proper implementation of processes and tools that best align with the organization's strategic objectives.
- Deliver business metrics and insights through reports, presentations & interactive dashboards to drive sales strategy.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in IT, Business Analytics or related field of study.
- 10 years' progressive industry experience in building client data/analytics platform within Financial Services / Asset Management; Ability to visualize and shape business needs and communicate in a way that gets stakeholder buy in
- Knowledge about the global distribution of various investment vehicles is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and data modeling skills; must be proficient in SQL, Alteryx and Tableau or comparable tools; experience with Python, R and utilizing statistical modules and machine learning algorithms would be helpful.
- Ability to breakdown complex business problems into meaningful components that are understandable by various levels within the firms.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to explain technical ideas to business users.
- Attention to detail and business acumen essential.
- Team player with strong work ethic and focus on meeting deadlines & objectives.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate critical thinking.
