What are the responsibilities and job description for the LIMS Manager position at Perfect Day?
YOUR CONTRIBUTION:
- Oversee the development and maintenance of LIMS policies, procedures, methodologies, and performance measurements to standardize, simplify and strengthen laboratory data management processes.
- Provide user assistance, such as building and modifying tests, specifications, sampling plans, templates and other user-managed information, and perform new user training.
- Conduct troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues that arise from the use of the LIMS.
- Collaborate with vendor(s) to facilitate installation, maintenance, and system upgrades of the LIMS
- Plan future workflow improvements including but not limited to the implementation of new processes and integration of new systems and instrumentation.
- Work on development of report design and improvement initiatives such as instrument interfaces and page configuration or functionality changes.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- BS/MS in Life Sciences or Computer Sciences with a minimum of 10 years relevant experience with extensive knowledge of LIMS/IS systems configuration and implementation.
- Well-rounded scientific background with a broad understanding of the laboratory environment is required.
- Ability to work on multiple projects and meet time constraints with limited supervision.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills with strong sense of customer orientation.
- Basic knowledge of databases and SQL queries required.
- Experience managing commercial off the shelf LIMS such as LabVantage, LabWare, Benchling etc. and Certification(s) for LIMS administration highly preferred.

- Travel is required up to 15% a year
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $125,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
