Job description:

Over the past 10 years, the organization created 2 separate data warehouses using MS technology (SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, LogiXML). The goal now is to consolidate the two into one DW moving to Snowflake on Azure. They also are moving all BI reporting to Tableau. The Data Services Manager was placed by Kforce in 2017 and he always had this consolidation vision. He and his team took on Phase 1 of the data warehouse consolidation in 2022, trying to handle it themselves, by hiring individual Snowflake and Azure consultants. They did get some work done, but it was rocky, and leadership looked ahead at a more effective way to accomplish Phase 2, and future phases beyond that. They are engaging Kforce and our Advanced Services team to accomplish this.

Phase 2 will be the focus for 2023 and they are expecting 2 major releases for Phase 2 by engaging with 2 data consumer groups. One is the BI/Application Development Team (In house developed applications using MS technologies and Tableau BI Reporting. The other is Healthcare Economics Team (HEDIS data, Risk Adjustment). Scope of each of these 2 releases is still to be determined based on what these 2 groups determine they want to convert over. The EDW has 90% of the data for both of these groups currently.

Required Skills for QA Analyst

5 years in a data centric testing role with strong knowledge of the SDLC process

Ability to write advanced SQL queries for testing validation activities

Experience testing ETL workflows, ensuring data meets standards and understands RDBS

Advanced knowledge of SSIS, SSRS, Tableau

Working experience with Agile/Scrum, using Jira

Experience developing test plans, test scripts for all the data processing workflows

Experience working with version control tools; preferably – bitbucket

Experience building and maintaining technical documentation for all data processing workflows, ensuring they meet standards and best practices

Strong previous experience working remotely

Healthcare knowledge and experience, nice to have
