Automotive Service Dispatcher

Overview

We are seeking a career-minded Automotive Service Dispatcher for our rapidly growing automotive service department. Use your knowledge and experience to take the next step in your automotive career. The ideal candidate will have above-average communication skills and be familiar with the time and labor commitments needed for automotive service repairs and vehicle maintenance. This is a full-time position with exceptional benefits.

• $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year salary plus bonus (based on department performance)
• Hours are Monday - Friday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm
• This Position Is Full Time

Responsibilities

Service Dispatcher Responsibilities:

• Efficiently schedule daily service shop's work
• Distribute work fairly and equitably to the most qualified technician who can have the work completed promptly based on the promised time
• Verify technicians are properly disposing of warranty parts and materials
• Review technician notes and make sure repairs were properly documented
• Confirm multi-point inspection forms and videos are fully completed
• Assure a copy of the vehicle history is attached to all warranty repair orders
• Comprehensive dispatch logs turned in to the Service Manager daily
• Log carry-overs daily to be best prepared for the next day.
• Communicate with Advisors, Techs, and the Parts Department regarding the status of repairs
• Random checking of timeliness and quality of repairs
• Assure when work is completed that repair orders are closed
• Service may assign other duties as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous experience as a Dealership Service Dispatcher preferred, not required
• 3-4 year’s experience as an Automotive Technician preferred
• Basic computer literacy required
• Possess a driver's license with a driving record that will allow you to drive customer and company vehicles
• Substance screening is required of all Performance Toyota Fairfield employees and applicants
