PES is accepting applications to hire for the position of International Travel & Compliance Coordinator to work at our Houma office.
SUMMARY
This position will be responsible for planning, directing and coordinating activities of individuals assigned to international projects to ensure that project goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed schedule in compliance with various immigration laws.
- Obeys and follows all safety rules and policies.
- Leads, coordinates and processes all aspects of immigration (inter-company transfers, work permits (visas) etc.), and non-immigrant visas (H1B, L-1, TN, B-1 OCS, etc.).
- Facilitates application and maintenance tracking of lawful immigration status for employees and contractors globally.
- Supports hiring managers and employees through data gathering and completion of appropriate visa applications and forms.
- Remains current with laws, regulations and procedures used in processing immigration related petitions and/or visas through approved immigration attorneys.
- Communicates various immigration procedures effectively to managers and employees.
- Creates and maintains employee immigration files in accordance with the law.
- Coordinates with the Operations Department to ensure the demand of personnel is met for international projects by ensuring the employees or contractors needed have the right type of visa and that they travel on time to the various international locations.
- Schedules flights and hotel accomodations for company employees.
- Ensures that employees or contractors receive the right type of visa depending on the country and situation.
- Ensures that the proper immigration documents are required in an ethical manner and in accordance with country law.
- Liaises with client representatives in various countries to assist in personnel mobility.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field preferred.
- Immigration Law degree preferred.
- 5 or more years of Immigration Law and/or travel coordinating experience.
- Bilingual (Spanish and English) speaking preferred.
