What are the responsibilities and job description for the Auditor position at Performance Food Group?
The Auditor position will perform the following duties:
- Works both in a team environment and independently performing various operational, financial, and compliance audits, and other ad hoc projects as requested.
- Works closely with the company’s external auditors to perform substantive financial audit procedures for year-end financial statement audits.
- Executes compliance, financial and operational audits, as assigned and under the direction of internal audit management in accordance with the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.
- Develops a working knowledge of applicable Federal/ State regulations and Company policies and procedures to identify compliance issues during audits.
- Executes on all aspects of audit methodology including planning, preparation of written scope documents, work papers and audit reports, fieldwork, and audit issue follow-up activities
- Prepares and presents audit findings to various levels of management
- Performs other consulting engagements as requested to determine if new systems/process implementations were designed with adequate internal controls and are working as intended.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (Business, Accounting or Finance)
- 1 - 3 years of business experience
- Able to travel up to 20% maximum to conduct audits/projects in the US
- Obtained or working toward a professional certification such as CPA, CISA or CIA
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills which are essential for interacting with all levels of the organization
- Well-developed problem solving, organizational and analytical skills
- Effective writing skills including report writing and audit/project file documentation
- Demonstrated time management skills to meet deadlines as well as flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite of products
- Must be able to work as an effective and contributing member of a team or independently as the need arises
- Must be legally eligible to work in the US for any employer
Preferred Qualifications
CPA, CISA and or CIA certification
Previous public accounting firm experience and/or experience working in a public company as an auditor is preferred
