What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inbound Warehouse Supervisor position at Performance Foodservice?
Position Summary:
Schedules and confirms all receiving appointments. Coordinates movement of products moving to serve production needs. Observes all safety regulations and ensures all quality standards are met while maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process. Provides administrative support for this area including the communication, paperwork, and system data entry. Answers questions and solves receiving issues based on extensive receiving and company specific knowledge. Assists with training. Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duties assigned to best serve the company.

Schedules and confirms all receiving appointments and notifies appropriate personnel of any changes. Updates receiving appointments in the system by cut-off time.
Verifies, adjusts, and reconciles quantities, catch weights, lot numbers and expiration dates on product received into the warehouse as appropriate.
Sets up new vendors on routes, provides directions to the vendor location and relays appointment requirements to both the vendor and driver as needed
Contacts vendors and merchandisers regarding short/over product received.
Keys receivers into the system, verifies receiving report and files reports.
Verifies purchase orders (POs) from drivers and reviews outstanding POs.
Schedules shipping/receiving clerks.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
