PARTS ASSOCIATE
Performance Power Systems is a full-service marine diesel engine facility specializing in marine powertrain and generator systems with locations in both GA and FL. We are an Authorized Marine Dealer for Caterpillar®, John Deere®, Northern Lights®, Cummins®, Cummins Onan®, Volvo Penta®, MAN®, and Scania® among others. Performance Power Systems has successfully been in business for over 25 years and has experienced a steady growth over this time. '
We are currently seeking a Parts Associate in Savannah, GA. Occasional travel to our FL office(s) may be required. The Parts Associate must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience on marine diesel engines. Applicants familiar with CAT, Cummins, JOHN DEERE, Volvo Penta and other marine engines and generators should apply. Successful applicants will pass pre-employment background checks.
Job Responsibilities:
- Order, receive & check in parts orders
- Issue & maintain PO#s. Work with accounting to ensure proper documentation of parts orders
- Research & assist Operations Manager in identifying engine part numbers for Work Orders / Estimates
- Perform inventory audits as needed
- Log all cores & return to Distributers in a timely manner
- Understand correct procedures & required documentation for administration of warranty jobs.
- Assist Technicians with ordering and receiving parts of all brands
- Accounts receivable & batch reporting for over-the-counter parts customers / orders
- Work with walk-in, phone & email orders - ship as requested. Maintain high customer satisfaction with established customers when working directly to vessel.
- Be familiar with shipping requirements of UPS, FedEx, international shipments, motor freight, etc.
- Operate & schedule maintenance for forklift when required
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of field service experience with marine diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical and air controls OR a combination of education and experience will be taken into consideration.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be able to read and interpret certain documentation such as technical manuals, etc.
- Must possess and maintain a clean driving record and valid Drivers’ License
