Bookkeeper and Administrative Assistant

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and organized individual to fill the role of Bookkeeper and Administrative Assistant. This position will be responsible for managing financial records, performing bookkeeping tasks, and providing administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of our office. The ideal candidate will have strong bookkeeping skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and spreadsheets.
2. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoicing, bill payments, and customer payments.
3. Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
4. Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, on a regular basis.
5. Process payroll, including calculating employee hours, preparing payroll checks, and submitting payroll taxes.
6. Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings or process improvements.
7. Assist with administrative tasks such as answering phones, responding to emails, scheduling appointments, and maintaining office supplies.
8. Organize and maintain paper and electronic files in accordance with company policies and procedures.
9. Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related experience preferred.
2. Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or related role.
3. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to reconcile discrepancies and troubleshoot issues.
5. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
6. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
7. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks effectively.
8. Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information.
