PERI is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Assembly Supervisor to join our team! PERI's Assembly Supervisor is to oversee assembly operations, ensure adherence to quality standards, and promote a safe and collaborative work environment. With a primary focus on coordination and supervision, the Assembly Supervisor leads by example, actively participating in assembly tasks, and fosters motivation and development among team members. Upholding safety awareness is paramount. By diligently fulfilling these responsibilities, the Assembly Supervisor significantly contributes to the efficiency, quality, and safety of assembly operations within PERI.

What you’ll do in a typical day:

  • Coordination and Supervision:
    • Coordinate and supervise the activities of the assembly team to ensure efficient operations and adherence to quality standards.
    • Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely procurement of materials needed for assembly.
  • Hands-on Involvement:
    • Perform all job tasks for Assembly Coordinator and Associate, demonstrating versatility and a willingness to contribute at all levels of assembly operations.
  • Leadership:
    • Lead by example in performing assembly tasks according to engineering specifications, ensuring all assembled materials meet quality standards and project requirements.
    • Provide regular feedback to team members and facilitate their development through training and coaching. Encourage open communication and collaboration within the team.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and learning and development.
  • Safety Awareness:
    • Foster a culture of safety awareness among the assembly team.
    • Enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
    • Follow proper accident/incident protocols, conducting investigations and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Efficiency and Quality:
    • Ensure the efficiency and quality of assembly operations by implementing best practices and continuous improvement initiatives. Monitor performance metrics and take corrective actions as needed.
    • Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements within the assembly department.
    • Implement best practices and standard operating procedures to streamline assembly operations and enhance overall efficiency and quality.
    • Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and costs, collaborating with the Logistics Manager as necessary.
  • Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with other departments, such as Engineering, Procurement, Sales, and Customer Service, to clarify specifications and address any discrepancies or challenges.
    • Collaborate with National Assembly Manager to prioritize tasks, meet project deadlines effectively, and optimize assembly processes and achieve overall organizational goals.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Oversee the proper inventory of materials used in the fabrication of special formwork, including tracking usage, replenishment, and stock levels.
    • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies, implementing inventory control measures as needed.

  • Attention to Detail: Strong organizational and multitasking skills with excellent attention to detail. Proficient in problem-solving and ensuring accuracy in assembly processes.
  • Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of formwork materials, assembly techniques, and machinery, ensuring the accurate and efficient assembly of special formwork materials. Familiarity with quality standards is essential. Strong knowledge of PERI products and yard experience is a plus, demonstrating proficiency in product usage and application.
  • Policy Adherence: Ability to understand and follow policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with company regulations.
  • Collaboration: Effective collaboration with peers to achieve common goals, fostering a team-oriented environment.
  • Communication Skills: Elevated emotional intelligence and excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to convey information effectively to various levels of the organization.
  • Strategic and creative thinker with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Safety Commitment: Dedication to safety and high standards, with the ability to identify potential risks and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Decision-making: Accurate analysis of situations and informed decision-making based on judgment and understanding of priorities. Demonstrated managerial courage in making tough decisions and taking necessary actions for team and organizational success.
  • Leadership: Experience in leading and supervising teams, with a focus on mentorship, coaching, and accountability. Capable of building and managing teams while prioritizing tasks effectively. Ability to create and maintain a feedback-rich environment, addressing development and performance issues promptly. Effective delegation and accountability management, ensuring team performance and actions align with organizational goals.

PERI Offers a competitive benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision, supplemental options, 401k retirement with company match, paid holidays, sick leave, and paid time off. The hourly pay rate for this position is between $24.50 and $32.50 This position may be eligible for overtime and other rewards including annual bonuses, short- and long- term incentives, and program-specific awards.
