What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pulmonary Disease Physician position at Perm?

New, Full Time, Permanent opportunity only 1 hour from New York City in New Jersey that is seeking a Pulmonology and Critical Care Physician 35% ICU - 65% Pulmonary OP/Office to help build and grow a newer but thriving private practice. The schedule is from 8:30 am-5 pm and is a true team-player environment with a healthy, working ecosystem (the clinic was established 30 years prior).

● Must be Board Certified in Pulmonary or Critical Care or Board Eligible with plans to get boarded in the ensuing year.

 

Pay and Benefits:

● Guaranteed salary for 2 years of $275K Year 1; $290K Year 2 and Year 3 Production Model With Year 2 Metrics - Comp Potential Over 400K

● Sign-on bonus: $10K or Stipend of 1K/month Up to 12 Months - 4Year Commitment

● Relocation: Up to $10K - 4-Year Commitment

● Full comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, and Malpractice (with Tail Coverage/Occurrence)

● Short and long-term disability; 4 weeks or 20 days PTO & 6 annual paid Holidays 

● 401(K) Retirement; $1,500 annual CME allowance & $1,500 annual cell phone allowance

 

The Position:

● Monday to Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm; Providers Rotate on Weekly Basis Between 4 Models:

  1. Hybrid Role - Covering both ICU (low acuity) and pulmonary consults for morning shifts until noon. Return to the outpatient office to see outpatients for the rest of the day (10-15pt. avg).
  2. Hybrid Role 2 - Round on hospital pulmonary consult until noon then returns to the office to see outpatients for the rest of the workday (10-15 patients avg).
  3. Round on ICU patients, remain on in the afternoon to cover both pulmonary service/ICU in both locations with assistance from the NP. (8-10 patients avg in ICU and 4-5 New Consults)
  4. Outpatient Clinic from 9 am-4:30 pm. Office opens at 8:30 am and closes at 5 pm (avg. 16-20 patients per day)

● New patient appointments are 30 minutes with all tests, labs, consults, and medications completed within 60 minutes. Follow-ups average 15 minutes. Diverse case mix with excellent pathology.
