Permian Resources (NYSE: PR) is seeking a role in its Midland, who will lead the implementation of environmental strategy across the company.  As a growing company, Permian Resources is focused on developing a cohesive and innovative environmental strategy.  A primary of focus will be on measuring and reducing emissions, with emphasis on data collection and analysis, monitoring technology and forward looking perspectives on technology and regulatory environment.  Will work to consider technical effectiveness and commerciality of new technology.  This is a cross functional job requiring interaction across the entire company.   
 
General Responsibilities:
  • Work with Permian Resources executive team to develop an emissions strategy involving disciplines across Permian Resources, corporate officers, operations, finance, investor relations and legal.
  • Work closely with operations to understand current and potential emissions tracking technology, data analysis, peer best practices and integration of environmental strategy across the operations team.
  • Work with finance, legal and investor relations on highlighting and understanding new regulations, developing investor communication regarding Permian Resources environmental strategy and performance, and leading the production of the Corporate Sustainability Report.
  • This position steers the development and implementation of corporate strategies regarding environmental and regulatory matters.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to integrate environmental considerations into business operations and decision-making processes.
  • Serves as part of the company’s liaison team with regulatory authorities and peer companies to acquire information on all environmental issues, technologies, and regulations.
  • Directs the identification of existing and potential environmental and emissions issues and their solutions.
  • Serves as part of the company’s liaison team with governmental agencies in matters pertaining to environmental safety and health practices.
  • May develop and conduct training and/or awareness programs to operational personnel, contract personnel, and local community constituents.
  • Participation in regulatory committees and meetings to further understand the regulatory changes associated with environmental management and to keep HSE informed of changes that could impact the organization.
  • Maintain awareness of regulatory environment, changes to regulations, and remains aware of technology and changing processes relative to environmental management principles.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering or another related field. Non-related fields of study may be considered with applicable work history.
  • 6 years of experience in E&P Engineering or Operations
  • Strong knowledge of Federal, State, and Local environmental regulations
  • General understanding of federal and state agency reporting processes and procedures
  • Strong organizational and communications skills and a team-oriented work ethic
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex environmental and regulatory issues and develop practical solutions
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5 years of Environmental experience in the oil & gas industry
  • 8 years of experience in E&P Engineering or Operations
