System Support Specialist

Permian Resources (NASDAQ: PR) is currently seeking a System Support Specialist. Reporting to the Support Analyst Lead, this position will be responsible for providing technical support and light system / network administration in the Midland, TX office.  
 
General responsibilities include:
  • Provides front-line PC, Network and Telephony support to users
  • Administrative tasks (AD, GPO, file permissions etc.) with guidance as required
  • Basic network troubleshooting skills (DNS, DHCP, traceroute, IP subnetting, VLAN, Ethernet)
  • Understanding of end-user support for M365 platform and applications (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, OWA)
  • Supports AV equipment in conference rooms
  • Uses and maintains OS and application deployment services (SCCM)
  • Maintains inventory and assists in establishing recommendations for equipment procurement
  • Drives to complete work efforts in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
  • Customer centric and positive attitude toward customer issues.
  • Demonstrates a strong troubleshooting methodology
  • Identifies, suggests, plans, implements and documents potential procedural improvements with guidance as required
  • Follows and helps to develop repeatable procedures for successful deployment and administration of IT assets
  • Collaborates with other IT team members

Experience:

  • Knowledge of Windows Operating systems
  • Knowledge of computer hardware, including laptops, printers, and cell phones
  • Three (3) years’ experience in IT or a related discipline 
  • IT ticketing system experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management, or a related discipline is preferred
