Job summary
Under the direction of the Program Director, provides developmental screening, assessment, direct service, and guidance to families of children birth to three years of age who are at risk for, or experiencing developmental delays; uses skills in an area of specialization: education, nursing, occupational, physical, or speech therapy, psychology, or social work.
Responsibilities
· Functions as a multi-disciplinary team member in the screening and developmental assessment of children birth to three years of age who are at risk for or experiencing developmental delays.
· With parental permission collaborate with other community agencies to ensure continuity of services for families including childcare providers, medical providers, social service agencies, and specialty providers serving children with autism or hearing/vision loss to support the child and the family; empowers families to advocate for their rights and needs.
Qualifications
Mental Health: Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Developmental Psychology or Educational Psychology OR Current Licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), License Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or license eligible for LMHC or LMFT
