Leadership & People
- Provide consistent feedback to staff ensuring recognition and correction are provided when appropriate and necessary.
- Provide guidance, coaching and mentoring for staff to ensure achievement of department and individual goals, and improvement in overall performance.
- Assist the Maintenance Manager in the development of training requirements for key staff and facilitate effective annual training plans in conjunction with the HR team.

Major Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Oversees the operational and functional processes of all maintenance systems; develop and maintain preventative and predictive maintenance programs; conduct inspections; recommend equipment modifications, troubleshoot and repair of equipment.
- Sets priorities for projects and work orders; oversees and coordinates with contractors, vendors, and service providers; works with Operations and Hospitality Managers to prioritize and schedule maintenance and repair activities.
- In coordination with the Packaging Manager and Facilities and Engineering Manager, administers, coordinates, and monitors the execution of site capital projects
- Direct, schedule, train, and supervise staff; assist, evaluate, and monitor work; oversees personnel performance
- Enforcement of PRW USA Hazardous Work procedures, and documentation of associated work.
- Maintenance management system super user maintaining asset registers, planning/scheduling, preventative and corrective maintenance work orders, and reporting
- Facilitates the procurement and inventory of purchased parts; maintains the technical documentation library and development of maintenance requirements for new equipment.
- Facilitate short- and long-term continuous improvement plans based on lean manufacturing principles, PR good practices, and available technologies, in conjunction with the Operations Managers and Sustainable Performance Department.
- Establish, prioritize, and maintain all maintenance records, equipment warranties, and inventory of maintenance related winery and vineyard-owned assets
- Maintains and updates SOPs and work instructions, ensures timely completion of incident investigations and action plans for the maintenance department.
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental demands to meet deadlines while understanding and analysing complex equipment, systems, information, data, etc.
- Effective in addressing operational and equipment issues, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems.
- Assists the Maintenance Manager in the monitoring of and compliance with the annual labor and expense budgets for PRW USA maintenance department.
- Support compliance, monitoring of permits, and reporting activities for all facilities related governmental regulations (CARB, SWPPP, HAZMAT, etc).
Skills / Qualifications / Experience:
Essential:
- Minimum of 3 years' supervisory experience in facilities maintenance
- Proven experience in maintenance related programs and software.
- Strong negotiation skills and experienced in vendor management
- Basic understanding of Sustainability management systems
- Strong technical and computer literacy skills
- Understanding of risk management principles
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Experienced in project management
Desirable:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Science, Winemaking, or related field
- Relevant experience in the wine and spirits industry
- Experience in US/California legal requirements related to food industry
- Experience with integrated management systems including ISO 9/14/22 & OHSAS 18
- Bilingual - English and Spanish
Special Conditions:
- Some out of hours work may be required
- Intra/Interstate and international travel as required
- Current driver's license
- Work is performed in a typical field environment with moderate demands for movement and lifting
Pay Transparency Disclosure: The base pay scale for this position is $5,000- $85,000 per year with variable compensation included. These figures represent what we reasonably expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, and alignment with market data. The Company reserves the right to modify the range in the future.
