Description Overview
Scope of the Role
- Provide support and oversight of all release services activities
- Preparation and participating in Third Party, Customer, and Certification audits
- Conduct training for technicians and take part in needed training to perform job function.
- Cross functionally works with Operations, R&D, and other Perrigo plants to resolve issues. Provides guidance (product/regulatory), Quality systems compliance support, product/equipment start-ups or modifications protocol development, and other projects as needed. Provides business leaders with information and analytics when making key Quality decisions.
- The back-up SQF Quality Practitioner has the responsibility and authority to oversee the development, implementation, review, and maintenance of the SQF Quality System and has the authority to cover for all Quality related positions in Ohio that have a responsibility for Food Safety.
- Lead and participate in internal audits
Experience Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in science or related discipline, with two or more years’ experience in FDA regulated industry such as infant formula, food, or pharmaceutical, including management experience. Consideration can be given to non-degreed candidates who meet all other qualifications and possess considerable quality experience.
- Experience with ISO 9001:2015, SQF, HACCP, Regulatory agencies (FDA, USDA, and State), food safety and food security programs.
- Experience with deviation problem solving methods.
- Able to lead cross-functionality to implement programs and resolve manufacturing issues.
- Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal skills, and computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures.
