Overview
This position is responsible for managing Human Resources (HR) activities, as well as HR programs and policies that directly relate to distribution center (DC) operations. These programs and policies include compensation, employee relations/labor relations, recruiting, diversification/Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), performance management, training, compliance and employee communications.
Responsibilities
Provide leadership to the assigned distribution center
Collaborate with the HR Support Teams to ensure appropriate and consistent tools and processes for recruiting, selecting, on-boarding and orienting team members
Ensure the implementation of training and development programs in order to enhance the capabilities and performance of team members
Provide counsel to DC Leadership on HR related issues
Assist in implementing the appropriate HR solutions to support performance management goals in the DCs
Propose and implement agreed upon competitive compensation programs to attract, retain and provide incentive for team members to maximize productivity
Oversee team member relations programs, policies, and processes for the DC network, including proposing updates and/or new solutions, while ensuring consistent application
Investigate and bring resolution to all employee relations concerns in the assigned distribution center. Partner with legal as appropriate
Ensure compliance with all corporate, federal and state requirements. Ensure OSHA and safety standards are met
Collaborate with the Benefits team to ensure that benefit plan delivery meets company objectives, team member needs, interests, and perceived values
Oversee team member communication
Maintain positive team member/labor relations, including maintaining a union-free workforce
Meet diversification, team member turnover, and budget goals
Requirements
5 years of HR experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment required
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferred
Professional Certifications : SHRM - SCP or SPHR preferred
