Job Summary:
Bachelor's degree from 4 year accredited college or university in Accounting or Finance required.
We are seeking a skilled Accountant to join our team. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, excellent analytical skills, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain financial records and reports
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities
- Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other relevant regulations
- Prepare and file tax returns
- Assist with audits and financial statement preparations
- Monitor financial transactions and recommend improvements to internal controls
- Provide support during the annual budgeting process
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze financial data and provide insights
Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Quicken, Xero, or similar programs
- Strong knowledge of debits, credits, accrual accounting, and general ledger accounting
- Familiarity with securities law and financial services industry regulations
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and patterns in financial data
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record keeping
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
