Summary:
The Parts Delivery Driver will deliver and/or pick-up parts to and from other Hunter locations, shops, customers, and vendors. We will provide a company vehicle used for daily route travels.
Essential Duties: include the following. Other duties may be assigned
- Pick up and deliver parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors.
- Verify items match invoice and that there is a purchase order for any pick-ups.
- Verify part number and quantity match each customer invoice at dealership and upon delivery.
- Keep an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups.
- Unload truck each night.
- Handle basic maintenance of the truck including filling tank with fuel, maintaining tire proper pressure, wiper blades, checking fluids, keeping van clean, and making sure required inspections are performed.
- Ask customers at each stop if they have anything to return including any core inventory.
- Must be able to drive across county and state lines Adhere to and promote all existing health and safety policies in the workplace to reinforce the Hunter culture of a safe work environment
Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company insurability standards.
- Commercial Driver’s License (preferred)
- Must be able to drive across county and state lines
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications (preferred)
- Medium/Heavy Truck Parts Specialist Certification (preferred)
