We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Habilitation Technician 1 to join our team on the 2nd shift at our group residence in Roxboro, NC. The Habilitation Technician 1 (aka DSP, Direct Care or Direct Support Staff) will provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities, assisting with daily living activities and promoting independence and community integration.
Responsibilities:
Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
Provide transportation to appointments and community activities
Assist with behavioral interventions and crisis management
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided
Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and team members
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED, or higher education
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
Ability to work the 2nd shift and every other weekend
Ability to work in a group residence or as an in-home caregiver
Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
