Payroll Specialist

Job description

We are looking for a knowledgeable Payroll Specialist to join our team. Must have great communication skills to interact with colleagues and executives. Must be good with numbers and can be trusted with sensitive information. The environment is a Native Corporation office located in Fairbanks and will be working with other offices within multiple states employees up to five hundred on our payroll.

Duties/Requirements

  • Ability to identify and correct financial discrepancies.
  • Review all company(s) timesheets for accuracy.
  • Proficient at multitasking, prioritizing and detailed oriented.
  • Monthly and yearly reconciliation responsibilities including but not limited to, all health and welfare.
  • Submit and maintain all court ordered payments for multiple states.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Process multi-state and multi-company payroll on multiple pay cycles for over five hundred employees.
  • Must be drug free and have a clear background.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in accounting from an accredited college or university or high school diploma with equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience in accounting and/or payroll processing.
  • Sage 100 or similar program experience preferred but not required.
  • Must have one year processing payroll.

Schedule: M-F, 7a.m.-4p.m.
