Personnel Source is currently hiring a Production Worker for a local steel pipe and tubing manufacturer located in Portland, OR.

Responsibilities of the Production Worker

• Operate various tools and gauges (hand-operated, air, or electric driven – including, but not limited to calipers, hammers, wrenches, metal grinders etc).
• Operate forklifts, Overhead, Gantry, and Jib Cranes
• Use gas metal cutting, burning and electrical welding equipment when necessary.
• Troubleshoot and repair any mechanical failures, with assistance from maintenance personnel.
• Complete clear and concise work orders and requests in a timely fashion.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures – report potentially dangerous situations to appropriate personnel.

Qualifications of the Production Worker

• Safety conscious
• Able to lift 50lbs
• Previous experience in production, manufacturing or other related fields is preferred. But not required.
• Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
• Demonstrate trouble shooting skills and mechanical knowledge.
• Proficient math and verbal and written skills

Shift Schedule of the Production Worker

Monday through Friday

• Monday - 6:00am to 2:00pm
• Tuesday - 6:00am to 4:00pm
• Wednesday - 6:00am - 4:00pm
• Thursday - 6:00am - 4:00pm
• Friday - 6:00am - 2:00pm

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.70 per hour
